About the Program
The Masters in Information Systems (Mixed Mode) program equips students with a balanced combination of coursework and research, fostering both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in Information Systems (IS).
It prepares graduates to address the strategic challenges of Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) and the post-COVID-19 era by emphasizing emerging technologies such as IoT, ensuring they are ready for Malaysia's competitive workforce.

The program is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), ensuring adherence to academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing (min CGPA2: 2.75); OR
- Bachelor's degree (level 6, MQF) in Computing (min CGPA2: 2.5 ), subject to careful evaluation by the faculty; OR
- Non-Computing Bachelor's Degree (CGPA 2: 3.00) with prerequisites; OR
- Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government (Level 6, MQF)
Program Structure
The program combines coursework in the first semester and research components in the second and third semesters:
- First Semester:
- Information Systems Research Methods
•Datalogy
•Information Systems Models and Theories
•Smart Information Systems
- Information Systems Research Methods
- Second and Third Semesters:
- Dissertation focusing on real-world challenges.
Prerequisites for Non-Computing
Graduates
Non-Computing graduates must complete Computing 1 and Computing 2 courses at RM500 each, totaling RMl000. These courses (6 credit hours) are offered in Semester 1.

- Semester 1: RM 6430.00
- Semester 2: RM 6175.00
- Semester 3: RM 6200.00
*Add RM l000 for Non-Computing graduates.
