Recently, in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Accounting Centre has held MIA Career Talk on on the 17 April 2018 (Tuesday) at the Auditorium, IPB UMS. It involved UMS Accounting students from Year 2 and 3. Speakers were Ms. Pamela Phui Hee Yung (Associate Director & Treasury-Corporate, Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Bhd) and Mr. Marphy (Chartered Accountants, Marphy & Associates). The MIA officers who were also present were Mdm Catherine Linggian who is the Head of Sabah Regional Office, MIA Sabah, Mdm Shirley and Ms Inda. Lecturers who were present were Mr. Jainurin Justine @ Abdul Aziz as the Director of Accounting Centre, Mrs. Sharifah Milda Amirul as the Head of UMS Accounting Program, and other lecturers of the UMS Accounting Program.
