This is very important to ensure the information is clear, accurate and give a good impact to personal image and academic impact of the researchers or even to the university.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM | INSTITUTIONAL BIOSAFETY COMMITTEE (IBC) OF UMS |
SUBJECT | RESEARCH INVOLVING THE PRODUCTION OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMO) OR LIVING MODIFIED ORGANISM (LMO) |
On behalf of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) of UMS, addressing all researchers (principle investigators) conducting research activities involving Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) or Living Modified Organism (LMO) at UMS especially those related to modern Biotechnology.
IBC of UMS has been established specifically (but not limited) to evaluate all projects involving LMO/GMO conducted at University that fall outside of the exemptions that are still active or currently being planned to be conducted. The principle investigators (PIs) are to submit (upload) the relevent forms to IBC to be evaluated which in turn will be submited to National Biosafety Board (NBB) under the ministry of Natural Resources and Enviroment (NRE) for approval.
