SHORT SHORT STORY COMPETITION: YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO ENTER!

The competition run by the ‘Say it in English’ Campaign at PPIB is open to ALL UMS students. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner and two runners-up. Deadline for entries is 27 April 2018. Since you only have to write 300 words or less, you still have plenty of time to post an entry! You may make up to 3 entries.

Please refer to the poster for competition rules / details.

Note: It may be possible to publish the best entries in an anthology of short short stories.

Subject: FUN-TASTIC RACE
 
The Fun-tastic Race is one of the competitions organised by the 'Say it in English' Campaign at PPIB in collaboration with the course, UB00102 Communicative English Grammar (which is one of PPIB’s English courses for students with MUET Bands 1, 2, and Lower Band 3). The event is a modified version of TV’s Amazing Race in which teams of 4 members from the UB00102 course compete for cash prizes. Clues and challenges are all in English and the key objectives are for students to develop their communicative skills in English – and to have fun!
 
The Fun-tastic Race will take place from 2-5 PM on Saturday, 17 March, starting from PPIB foyer.

UMS Chinese Orchestra Concert 2018 ---- “Cheng Yue” 
Good day everybody! Mandarin Club of UMS is going to organize Chinese Orchestra Concert 2018 ---- “Cheng Yue” on 25th March 2018 (Sunday) at Dewan Resital UMS, from 7pm till 10pm. The name of the concert “Cheng Yue” means music being carried on perpetually. This event inculcates the spirit of traditional Chinese music and introduces Chinese culture to the public including non-Chinese races. Tickets of the concert can be purchased at Library Foyer starting from 9th March 2018 (Friday) except every Saturday and Sunday until 23rd March 2018 (Friday). The prices of the tickets are: (Early bird price for UMS students, until 17th Mac 2018) RM10, (after 23rd March 2018) RM15 for UMS students, RM30 for public, RM60 for VIPs. SDP points will be given to all participants. We look forward to seeing support for UMS Chinese Orchestra Concert 2018 ---- “Cheng Yue” from all parties.
