UMS Translation Unit (UTUMS)
 
UMS Translation Unit (UTUMS) was established in January 2016 in response to a perceived need for a higher standard of writing in the University’s academic publications. UTUMS is wholly owned by UMS and is based at PPIB.
Our primary objective is to provide quality translation, proofreading and editing services to academicians, undergraduate and postgraduate students in the writing of research reports, books, conference papers and journal articles in English or other languages; to assist the University management in the translation or editing of documents, announcements and official web content; and to offer these same quality services to external agencies in Sabah.
 
We are generating income for the University, so please show your support and ‘give us a try!’

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM: CENTRE FOR THE PROMOTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND LANGUAGE LEARNING
SUBJECT: ENGLISH CLUB VIDEO COMPETITION 
 
English Club Video Competition is a free contest organised by English Club in collaboration with the ‘Say it in English’ Campaign at PPIB. The aim of this competition is  to encourage students to speak in English and to boost their confidence using the language. It is a fun competition for students to use English without the threatening environment in the classroom.
Video submission starts at Week 6 (23/10/2017) and ends on Week 6 (26/11/2017)
