Membrane and Nanofibre

The Membrane and Nanofibre Research Group consists of two divisions: Membrane Materials and Formations, and Nanomaterials.
The Membrane Materials and Formations division collaborates with researchers who are interested in synthesising membranes, designing pore morphological structures, and constructing reentrant surface topologies from various synthetic and natural materials. The membrane research also includes applications in desalination, coalescence, oil removal from water, juice clarification and concentration, groundwater purification, and carbon capture.
The Nanomaterials division connects researchers who are enthusiastic about synthesising nanofibres, nanoemulsions, and related materials. Research on nanofibres covers oil-in-water adsorption, modification for oil/water separation, and landfill liners. Nanoemulsions are developed from renewable bioresources for enhanced oil recovery and sustainable oil production applications.
