UMS 14th APK Expo 3-6 May

THURSDAY, 28 APRIL – “Start from a Simple Thought”, the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurial Acculturation (APK) Expo Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is back with a variety  of innovative products by students, from 3-6 May.

According to APK statement, the annual expo to be held at the Parade Square (Padang Kawad) UMS aimed to encourage UMS students to create new and innovative ideas inspired from their surroundings and generate innovations in the development of every life.

The expo was also a special activity in the Fundamentals of Entrepreneurial Acculturation Course, Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language (PPIB) that delivers entrepreneurial knowledge to students in line with the First Shift of the Malaysian Education Development (Higher Education) Blueprint, which is to produce holistic graduates equipped with entrepreneurship and balanced personality.

The statement also added, the four-day expo will see more than 140 stalls selling goods created through the inspiration and innovation of UMS students, including food, drinks, games, clothing and services.

Meanwhile, various activities are also available to visitors, among them are games with great prizes and lucky draws for those who make purchases of over RM150.00.

According to the statement, this year the expo will be joined by two large celebrations in the university, Kaamatan Carnival in conjunction with Kaamatan Festival and Tiong Hwa Festival, thus promising excitement and foster greater harmony among the various races in the country through their shows and cultural exhibition held simultaneously.

The organisers of UMS APK welcome the public to come together and enjoy the activities whilst appreciating the cultural richness found in Malaysia, particularly Sabah. – MA (fl)
