5th International Conference on Southeast Asian Natural Resources and Environmental Management (SANREM 2021) (Virtual Conference)

The Faculty of Science and Natural Resources (FSSA) Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is organizing the ‘5th International Conference on Southeast Asian Natural Resources and Environmental Management (SANREM 2021)’, which will be conducted in an all-virtual, web-conference format due to COVID-19 pandemic from 28th to 30th September 2021.  

‘SANREM 2021’ aims to be an excellent platform for knowledge exchange between academic researchers, sharing experiences and research findings specifically in Natural Resources and Environmental Management fields.  Prospective authors are invited to submit a paper describing original work on all aspects of related fields. 

All submitted papers will be peer reviewed and selected papers will be published in a Scopus indexed journal.

 

Scope of fields: 

This conference is designed to encourage extended free discussion of current results and ongoing related research in multidisciplinary natural resources and environmental sciences. Topics include, but are not limited to the following areas:

2. Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Yayasan Penyelidikan Sultan Mizan (YPASM) menjemput para Penyelidik/Saintis warganegara Malaysia untuk mengemukakan cadangan (Research Grant, Fellowship Scheme & Berth Support to Antarctica) dibawah Smart Partnership Initiative.

-       Grant for research in the Polar and Southern Ocean regions

-       Research areas: biology, ecology, atmospheric science, earth and ocean sciences, astronomy, astrophysics and policy

-       Maximum quantum: RM150,000 and project duration should not exceed 36 months.

YPASM FELLOWSHIP SCHEME

-       Encourage active involvement of young scientists in Polar scientific research.

-       Build new networking and further strengthen international capacity and co-operation in Polar research.

-       Researchers will undertake short-term visits to major international laboratories, field facilities, and/or institutes.

-       Maximum quantum: RM50,000 and duration of attachment should not exceed 12 months.

-       Deadline: 31 March 2021

BERTH SUPPORT TO ANTARCTICA

(BERTH SUPPORT TO ANTARCTICA THROUGH ANY SCAR MEMBER COUNTRIES)

-       Researcher will undertake fieldwork at collaborator’s research station in Antarctica during 2021/2022 Antarctica summer season.

-       Collaborator(s) can be any institution from any SCAR member countries.

-       Maximum quantum: RM55,000
