CALL FOR PAPERS

Greeting from ICNP 2022,

Dear Prof./Dato’/Assoc. Prof./Ir./Dr./Mr./Mrs./Ms.,

We would like to  invite you to submit abstracts for the International Conference on Natural Products (ICNP 2022), with the theme "Sustainable Utilization of Natural Products for Health and Food Security", which will be held on 21 – 23 September 2022 at Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The International Conference on Natural Products (ICNP) is an annual event of Malaysian Natural Products Society (MNPS). This year, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) have been given the honour of hosting the conference which will be held on 21-23 September 2022 at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. 

Research topics

• Ethnobotany and ethnopharmacology
• Phytochemistry, biological activities, mode of action and pharmacology
• Toxicological studies
• Advances in enabling technologies for plant/herbal analysis, global metabolite profiling, isolation, and chemical structure characterization
• Modern natural product discovery research - metabolomics and gut microbiota studies
• Informatics and data science approaches in natural products research
• Cultivation and agricultural aspects of medicinal plants and herbs
• Processing, standardization and product development aspects
• ‘Hits-to-lead’ drug discovery research, structure-function and computational studies
• Modifications and biotransformation of natural products
• Safety and regulatory aspects of herbal drugs and products
• Potential of natural products for sustenance of health and food security 

Publication 

Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts reporting original research as oral or poster presentations pending review by the scientific committee. Upon acceptance of the abstract, presenters are invited to submit full papers reporting original unpublished research for consideration for publication in Scopus Indexed journals (MJChem and MJS) at a reduced rate.
