Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa National Institute fpr Health Research (NIHR) dan UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) telah mempelawa negara-negara membangun untuk mengemukakan cadangan projek tersebut di atas. Objektif bagi projek (1) di atas adalah bagi memahami wabak dan mengurangkan kesan dari sudut kesihatan dalam konteks negara berpendapatan rendah dan sederhana. Manakala objektif bagi projek (2) adalah bagi menangani dan mengurangkan kesan dari sudut kesihatan, sosial, ekonomi, budaya dan persekitaran Covid-19.
