It is our pleasure to announce that Persatuan Genetik Malaysia (Genetics Society of Malaysia) and Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), in collaboration with WMIT Group Pte Ltd (WMIT), will be organizing the following conference:

This 2-day conference and 1 day educational visit will address the latest advances in various plant breeding activities and achievements with the theme ‘Emerging Trends in Plant Breeding towards Sustainable Bioeconomy’. More than 20 key papers and invited speakers will be presenting their views and findings in this conference. IPBC2022 aims to gather scientists, academicians and postgraduate students involved in various aspects of plant breeding to share their latest findings and achievements. We will also include a special symposium related to COVID-19. This special symposium will cover topics related to ‘Innovation of Plant Breeding in the Post Pandemic COVID-19 Era’.

The conference organizer cordially invites academics, practitioners, scholars, researches and policy makers of related government agencies to participate or to present their papers in IPBC2022. Papers should be submitted through online and will be blind reviewed by two reviewers. We also welcome and highly encourage postgraduate students to present their research proposal, literature review, findings or issues in this conference with special registration fee.

Authors are invited to submit papers for oral and poster presentations.

The abstract and/or full paper will be reviewed and notification of acceptance will be emailed within 2 weeks of submission.

All accepted extended abstracts or full papers will be offered to be published in the conference proceedings or in the Transactions of PGM, in short the tPGM with ISBN. The Transactions is the Society’s scientific publication. It is published periodically and will be freely downloadable from PGM website (https://www.pgm-my.org/)

Selected full papers will be offered to be published in:

1.      Malaysian Journal of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (MJBMB) E-ISSN 2600-9005, indexed by SCOPUS and MYCITE with a publication fee
2.      Malaysian Journal of Genetics (MJG), e-ISSN: 2811-3594 with a publication fee
