MONDAY, 11 MAY – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) in collaboration with the New Sabah Times for the first time will organise a UMS-New Sabah Times short story writing competition 2015.
The competition will be held throughout the year for a period of 33 weeks starting today, 11 May 2015 until 24 December 2015.
With the theme, “Producing New Generation Short Story Writer”, the competition is open to all levels of society as a platform for new local writers to write and produce creative works that qualifies them to be published in the New Straits Times every Sunday.
The first place winner will receive cash worth RM3,000, whilst RM2,000 for the second place.
Third place will receive RM1,000 whilst consolation prizes worth RM500 await the seven selected recipients.
The collection of selected short stories will be included in a short story anthology to be published by UMS.

MONDAY, 11 MAY – The 12th Fundamental Entrepreneurship Acculturation Expo (APK) which was held at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) library premises produced creative and innovative students.

FRIDAY, 08 MAY – ‘Rentas Borneo’ 2015 programme, with the aim of getting closer with the interior community of Sabah achieved its goal for Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) when a total of 92 member group using 23 four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicles helped conclude the mission.
