PENERAPAN 5 ASPEK NILAI TRANSFORMASI KE ARAH
UNIVERSITI/INDUSTRI 4.0
 
Kini, kita berada di dunia yang lebih kompleks, dipacu dengan cukup deras menerusi Revolusi Industri Keempat atau IR4.0. Semua universiti termasuk UMS turut terkesan dengan impak penggunaan teknologi secara radikal yang dipercayai akan mengubah landskap kehidupan dan norma masyarakat pada masa yang akan datang. Justeru, universiti juga perlu berubah dan mampu mengadaptasi era digital yang kian rancak berkembang. Dalam usaha memastikan UMS terus cemerlang dan dapat bergerak seiring ledakan era Revolusi Industri Keempat, usaha tersusun sedang giat dijalankan bagi memastikan berlakunya “Transformasi ke Arah Universiti/Industri 4.0”. Bagi memastikan transformasi ini berjalan lancar, lima aspek nilai perlu ditekankan kepada seluruh warga UMS iaitu:
 
Dinamik (Dynamic) bermaksud warga UMS perlu cepat menerima dan menyesuaikan diri dengan segala perubahan, fungsi dan tanggungjawab. Setiap cabaran yang dihadapi diserap serta dilentur menjadi sumber kekuatan untuk menjadi lebih kreatif dan inovatif, lantas menterjemahkan pembaharuan dan kemajuan dari segala aspek kehidupan untuk manfaat universiti, masyarakat dan negara.
 
Kelestarian (Sustainability) memfokuskan pelaksanaan aktiviti yang dipastikan mampu kekal bertahan untuk tempoh masa yang lama dengan kos efektif dan menghasilkan impak positif kepada masyarakat.
 
Integriti (Integrity) dikaitkan dengan kejujuran jati diri seseorang dalam memberikan perkhidmatan atau menjalankan tanggungjawab yang diamanahkan agar akhirnya nanti lahirlah keikhlasan dalam setiap tindakan yang dibuat. Dengan kata lain, prinsip moral dan etika hendaklah sepanjang masa dijadikan benteng kebal bagi menghasilkan sesuatu yang bermakna untuk masyarakat keseluruhannya.
 
Keadilan (Justice) adalah semua fungsi dan tanggungjawab, tugas dan aktiviti yang dijalankan hendaklah mampu memberikan keadilan kepada semua pihak.
 
Darjah Kegembiraan (Happiness Index) terhasil apabila aspek dinamik, kelestarian, integriti dan keadilan dijadikan intipati dalam setiap pekerjaan yang dijalankan. Warga UMS perlu mengubah mindset bahawa setiap tugas dan tanggungjawab yang dijalankan adalah merupakan suatu ibadah.
 
Sekiranya semua nilai ini dapat diserap dan dijadikan DNA, UMS akan mampu mentransformasi kepada Universiti Industri 4.0 dengan lebih cepat.
 


1. To issue the university offer letter at least three days after the announcement of the Department of Higher Education.

 

2. To publish next semester lecture timetable on week 10 of the current semester.

3. To publish final examination timetable and invigilator timetable on week 12 of the current semester.

 

 

4. To process students finance affairs in 21 working days after obtaining complete information from involved parties.

 

5. To provide at least 80% comfortable and safe accommodations facilities to the students for every study session.

6. To provide at least 80% reference material based on the course structure in Undergraduate Courses published by Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

7. To ensur​e at least 90% consumers request related to information technologies fulfilled on the current year.

8. To ensure new recruit to obtained basic​CPD ​training within a year of recruitment.

9. To ensure 85% of the university staff have at least 7 days of CPD training annually​.
