1. Registered yourself for the symposium with the abstract ready to submit before the deadline set by the committee (please refer to the registration page.
2. Please ensure that your abstract topic is under the journal’s scope.

• Scope of MJM (Scopus and MyCite indexed):

The Malaysian Journal of Microbiology (MJM) publishes basic microbiology research especially from but not limited to developing countries. In addition, the journal also publishes research works on the application of microbes for the betterment of human society and the environment. The journal welcomes papers on the isolation, identification, characterization, and application of microbes and microbial products. The journal publishes research articles, short communications and review articles on various novel aspects of microbiology, including food, agriculture, industry, plant pathology, biotechnology, microbial genetics, environment, soil, water, and biodeterioration. The journal aspires to emphasize the important roles microbes play in our daily lives.

• Scope of MJBMB (Scopus and MyCite indeed):

The journal publishes research papers in all areas of biochemistry, biophysics, and molecular biology, which include DNA and RNA biology, gene expression, glycobiology, enzymology, protein structure and function, lipid chemistry, membranes, immunology, plant biochemistry and physiology, microbiology, immunology, natural product chemistry, biomedical science, research methods, and bioinformatics.

3. Upon registration, indicate that you are interested in publishing your full-text paper in the journal.
4. Prepare your full text according to the guidelines for the journal.

5. Upon the acceptance of your abstract by the committee, submit your full-text paper with a cover letter to the sb8[at]ums.edu.my; cc to: scientific@gmail.com. Please note that the deadlines for full-text and abstract are different.

• Name your file as: LastNameofCourrespondingAuthor-FullText-NameofJournal(MJMBMB or MJM), example: Azfar-FullText-MJM
• Write the email subject as “Full-text submission – MJBMB or MJM”
• In the cover letter, please indicate that your paper is presented in the symposium. Please also indicate the abstract code (if applicable).

6. You will receive the acknowledgment of the receipt of your full-text papers from the committee.
7. The full text will undergo a peer-review process. The details of the peer-review process will be informed through email. The acceptance of your full-text paper is subject to the comments from the reviewers.
8. The fully accepted paper is entitled to the article processing charge (APC) for the journal before publishing.

*Authors from Malaysian affiliation

• The details of the APC payment will be provided along with your acceptance letter.
• Please note that APC stipulated in the above table is higher than the regular issue as this will be issued as a special volume.

9. Rejected papers are not required for APC.
10. The decision of editors on your full-text status will be final and unnegotiable.
