We are pleased to invite you to join us in the virtual ’Regional Tourism Conference and Workshop’ with the theme ‘Revitalizing the Tourism Industry and Businesses in the New Normal: Transforming the Face of Tourism, Adapting and Reflecting on Resilience’ on 20 - 21 October 2021. The conference is organising by Borneo Tourism Research Centre (BTRC), Universiti Malaysia Sabah supported by the Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN), Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and Kinabatangan Corridor of Life Tourism Operators Association (KiTA).

 

The regional conference serves as an important platform to share and discuss the key issues, challenges and way forwards to revive the tourism industry. It presents what it takes in the journey to tourism recovery from different perspectives of the key tourism stakeholders. These include our changing perspective of change, adjusting to new normal, resilience thinking, adaptability and transformability and sustaining tourism business through resilience thinking and crisis.

1st AIMS International Conference (AIC 2021) will be held at the Expo 2020 Dubai UAE and virtually (via an online platform) on 17th December 2021. AIC 2021 is a strategic collaboration between the Ministry Of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) with the support of the other AIMS Committee in Malaysia.

AIC 2021 will be focusing on this year's theme: internationalisation of Higher Education Towards Future Talents. AIC 2021 will provide a stimulating conference for academicians, researchers and students to network and communicate via experiences and research studies on the future of education. This conference is a platform for the participants to share information on the main sectors of the internationalisation of higher education. It will also reflect the practices of higher education now and future teaching, learning, research, appraising the co-curricular development, digitalisation governance and transnational education through the international lens.

Sub-theme / Scopes for this seminar :

1. Innovation in future learning to enhance the quality of teaching methods in Higher Education.

2. Mobility management for students for enhanced graduate employability.

3. Challenges in brand positioning of the future education system.

 

All accepted papers presented in AIC 2021 will go through a double-blind peer-review process and will have the opportunity to be published in selected Chapters in Book/Conference Proceedings. Terms and conditions applied.

This Conference is organised by the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE)  along with all AIMS Committee of Malaysia which consists of 10 universities; Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) as the co-organizers for this virtual conference. The International Mobility Collaboration Centre (IMCC) is working as the Secretariat.
