khalid salleh pukauFRIDAY, 04 APRILThe Galeri at Chancellery Building is usually a quiet place but was rocked by about 300 audience who were mesmerised by the knowledge sharing presented in a relaxed manner by Khalid Salleh in a talk organised by the Chancellery Department.

Fondly known as ‘Wak Khalid’, he enlivened the Friday morning with his talk called ‘Hidup Ini Indah’ or ‘Life Is Beautiful’. With his energetic style, he explained that the purpose of beauty was very subjective to be formulated, leaving Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) students and staff with countless questions.

“I see beauty starts from within ourselves, from our heart and how we perceive and generate it in our thoughts and in our heart,” he said in this programme collaborated with UMS Non-academic Management and Professional Officers Association (PPUMS).

He added that each individual needs to know themselves before knowing the meaning of life while touching on religion as the core of life.

“For me, regardless of religion, we are all heading towards eternal life, to our Creator,” he said.

For Muslims he said, by uttering the Syahadah would not be enough but more importantly to understand and recognise the purpose behind it by placing confidence to our belief.

Also present at the programme was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Prof. Dr. Shahril Yusof. – ZMD & SS (fl)
