FRIDAY, 27 FEBRUARY – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Rakan Muda Secretariat and Melaka Multimedia University (MMU) organised the ‘Ngabas Borneo 2015’ which started yesterday and will end on 3 March.
According to the Programme Director, Ahmad Ersyad Azmi, the activities included foster family programme, motivational workshop with local youths, teaching workshops for schoolchildren and a gotong-royong activity.
He said, the MMU delegation was also scheduled to visit the Borneo Marine Research Institute (IPMB) UMS and the Sabah Youth and Sports Board before leaving for home on 3 March 2015.
“Yesterday, this group of 22 people arrived in Kota Kinabalu and was welcomed by the Secretariat of UMS Rakan Muda, Norhana Nordin before embarking on a trip to Kampung Chinta Mata, Tenom,” she said when contacted by UMS media.
The ‘Ngabas Borneo’ programme is an annual event that was first implemented in 2009. – ZMD (fl)
