The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), University of Maryland, in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization, International Islamic University Malaysia (ISTAC-IIUM), are organizing a webinar series as part of the joint in 'Divergent Dimensions of Radicalization Risk: Migration and Violent Extremism in Sabah' project, would like to invite you to attend the program, detailed as follows:

Objectives :
✅ Incubation of a regional network of scholars focused on the study of security, terrorism and countering violent extremism; and
✅ Development of a culture of empirically based education and training
✅ Capacity building, networking and enhancement of knowledge on similar themes on security, terrorism, political violence and P/CVE
✅ Knowledge transfer on ethics of research, methodology of research, management of research and other similar themes

Highlights:
✅ Presentations by Senior Researchers of START, University of Maryland
✅ 20 years experience in fieldwork research on security, borders, statelessness and migration issues in Sabah by faculty member of FSSK, UMS
✅ Practitioner's perspective addressing interviews with VE ex/detainees by faculty member of ISTAC, IIUM
