While the club's primary focus is to advocate for the rights, empowerment, and visibility of students with disabilities, its initiatives are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Notable Initiatives:

  • Campaigns Promoting Inclusive Access to Green Infrastructure
    The club works alongside campus planners and sustainability officers to advocate for barrier-free access in eco-friendly buildings, public spaces, and green mobility systems across campus, ensuring that environmental upgrades are usable by all.
  • Participation in Sustainable Campus Planning Discussions
    Members of the club actively participate in dialogues and consultations related to UMS’s EcoCampus initiatives, contributing critical insights on inclusive design and social justice in sustainability.

Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP): The MPP is a student-elected body that represents the student population in discussions and decisions related to university policies and student welfare. MPP operates under the Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar dan Alumni (HEPA) and works closely with the university administration to address student concerns, propose initiatives, and organise student-related activities. While the MPP does not have direct representation in the University Senate or other decision-making bodies, it plays an influential role in advocating for student interests within the broader university governance structure. It acts as a liaison between the students and the university administration.

Jawatankuasa Kebajikan Mahasiswa (JAKMAS): JAKMAS is a committee under the Kolej Kediaman (residential colleges) that focuses on managing and improving the welfare of students living in university hostels. While JAKMAS is primarily concerned with housing and residential student needs, it also contributes to student representation by voicing concerns related to accommodation, facilities, and the overall living experience. It collaborates with the administration to ensure that students’ living conditions meet their expectations and welfare needs.
Both MPP and JAKMAS play vital roles in ensuring that students are actively involved in the governance process, representing their peers' needs and making contributions to the continuous improvement of student life at UMS.
