Programme Info
This program traces youth development from the cognitive, linguistic, social, affective, and moral aspects through various theoretical orientations. Research results will be utilized to show the implications of development processes on youth problems in the context of community development. This program discusses planning, implementation, follow up, and monitoring of youth and community programs. Students will also receive practical training in community services at rehabilitation institutions to produce well- informed and experienced graduates in the field of community development. Training is conducted with the co-operation of government and non-government agencies such as the Department of Social Services, Department of National Unity, NGOs, and other related agencies. Graduates of this program will serve the public and private sectors as community development officers, rehabilitation officers, consultants, research assistants or tutors in educational institutions, facilitators and helpers in related organizations.
