THURSDAY, 13 MARCH The grief and anxiety that surrounds the families of the passengers and crew of flight MH370 which is still missing since last Saturday cannot be imagined.

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) lends sympathy to the plight that befalls the 239 passengers and crew of the missing flight MH370 which is still a mystery when search and rescue teams have still not found any indication as to the whereabouts of the plane.

Hence, some UMS staff took the initiative to organise a cycling mission ‘Pray For MH370’ in support of the efforts in locating the missing aircraft conducted by the government with the help of other countries such as USA, China, Vietnam and Japan.

The ride around UMS campus for 8 kilometres was well received especially from students when they had their pit stops at some locations.

Bringing the message ‘Pray For MH370’, one of the participants, Azmi Haris said that the cycling programme was done on a voluntary basis as a sign of support by UMS to the families of the passengers and crew of MH370 to continue praying and hope for the best for those in the aircraft.

The cycling programme also received the support from the Centre for Co-curriculum and Student Development by providing the bikes and cycling helmets. – ZMD & SS (fl)
