TUESDAY, 24 FEBRUARY – Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah called on all staff and students of UMS to aim for UMS excellence as their main agenda.
According to him, it was necessary for them to strive and contribute to society and nation to ensure high productivity and quality output.
“The responsibility on the vision and mission of UMS do not only lie on the shoulders of the Vice-Chancellor but is a collective commitment that should be planted in ourselves to achieve UMS’ aim.
He said this when delivering his message or ‘Amanat’ to all staff and students of UMS at the ‘Vice-Chancellor’s Message 2015’ held at the Main Lecture Hall Complex 2, today.
He also reminded staff of the University not to treat UMS merely as a rice bowl.
“Consider each day of work as your last, and execute each task well. Human resource is the pulse of UMS. The body acts according to the thoughts,” he said. – ZMD (fl)
