NICER 2025 | Celebrating Excellence in Undergraduate Nutrition Research

The 2nd Nutrition International Colloquium for Excellence in Undergraduate Research (NICER 2025) was successfully held on 24 May 2025, bringing together undergraduate students, academics, and professionals from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), IPB University (Indonesia), Hasanuddin University (UNHAS, Indonesia), and UCSI University (Malaysia). This fully virtual colloquium provided a meaningful platform for final-year nutrition students to showcase their research, exchange ideas, and foster cross-border academic connections. We were honoured to host two distinguished keynote speakers, Dr. Healthy Hidayanty (Hasanuddin University), who shared compelling insights on adolescent nutrition in island communities of South Sulawesi; and Prof. Drajat Martianto (IPB University), who addressed the critical issue of climate change and its impact on food and nutrition. We are proud to highlight our Best Presenters from UMS; Wiveena Logalingam and Claire Chong Yen Jing, both supervised by Dr. Khor Ban Hock and Queenie Ling Zhong Ni, supervised by Dr. Noor Atiqah Aizan Abdul Kadir.
