28 January 2026 – The Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition (FSMP) held an online discussion session with the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST), University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) as an initial initiative to further strengthen international academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The discussion explored several potential areas of strategic cooperation, including student and staff mobility programmes, joint research initiatives in the field of food science and technology, the implementation of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programmes, as well as other mutually beneficial academic collaborations.
Both parties also expressed their intention to formalise the collaboration through the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) in the near future, as a preliminary step towards the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing a structured and long-term strategic partnership.
This initiative reflects FSMP’s continued commitment to expanding its global engagement and strengthening international partnerships in support of academic excellence, impactful research, and the development of globally competent human capital.
