Sustainable Development Goals
@FPEP
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
We are dedicated to conducting research that fosters inclusive economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. Our aim is to contribute to policies and practices that promote sustainable economic development, job creation, and equitable opportunities.
SDG 10: Reduced Inequality
Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in reducing inequalities by creating avenues for innovation, economic participation, and wealth distribution. Our research efforts focus on understanding the dynamics of entrepreneurship, especially among marginalized communities, and exploring ways to empower individuals to become successful entrepreneurs.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Tourism is a significant driver of economic growth and can contribute to the development of sustainable communities. Our research agenda revolves around promoting responsible tourism practices, enhancing the cultural and economic benefits of tourism, and ensuring that tourism contributes positively to the well-being of both urban and rural areas.
By aligning our research efforts with these specific Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world. Through collaboration, innovation, and education, we believe that the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Accountancy, Universiti Malaysia Sabah can play a pivotal role in addressing pressing global challenges and shaping a better future for all.
